FOOD AND WINE-TASTING WEEK-END AND LONG WEEK-END

1st Day: Arrival at the hotel in Porto Cesareo, dinner.
2nd Day: Breakfast, transfer to Leverano and half day visit of the historical centre, of a wine-making company and olive-making company. Traditional style lunch in local restaurant. Back to the hotel, dinner. The first week in November for the Wine fair: in the evening, transfer to Leverano for the fair. Dinner at the food and wine stands of the fair. Back to the hotel for the night.
3rd Day: Breakfast and departure.

3rd Day: Breakfast and transfer to Lecce for the half day visit of the historical centre. Traditional style lunch in a local restaurant in Lecce. Free afternoon. Back to the hotel, dinner.
4th Day: Breakfast and end of our services.

Individual prices are per person and per min. 4 pax.
Groups prices are per person and per groups of min. 25 pax.

The price includes:

- accomodation in 3* or 4* hotel for the half board formulas and include ¼ wine and ½ water per person in double, three, four people rooms;
- guide for the tours in Lecce and Leverano for the package with car;
- traditional lunchs and drinks;
- transfer to Brindisi airport or Lecce railway station for the package without car;
- transfer with guide for the tours in Lecce and Leverano for the package without car;

The price does not include:

- full board extra € 18,00;

TASTING OF THE YEAR'S NEW WINES

This is an event which aims at promoting the area so as to let people get to know and appreciate the jewels of the local wine production. The festival is held in the splendid frame of the old town centre where food and wine tasting stands are set up to enable visitors to taste the new wines and the traditional products of Salento. Local arts and crafts are promoted by means of the expo organised in the ancient villas in the old town centre and the events is enlivened by folk groups who sing and dance the local "Pizzica pizzica"” round the streets of the town centre.

Leverano

Leverano, from the ancient Greek name of “Liberano”- damp place “ would seem to have been founded by the Greeks 540 A.D.. The locality underwent further destruction at the hands of the Saracens in the IX century, but was rebuilt and re- inforced by the Normans and then by Frederick II in 1220, when he had the Torre Quadrata built (1220/1230).

One of the most remarkable monuments is the fall Torre Quadrata, wich stands 30 meters high, and then the Parish church (rebuilt in 1603), which presents an elegant façade in renaissance style and boasts a precious wooden choir, an antique statue of San Rocco, the patron saint of the town, and various 16th century paintings.
